So as I mentioned earlier, Sam turned 5 and we had a party. Thanks to all who helped, drove for hours, sent gifts and well wishes and called. Sam had a GREAT birthday party!!! He loved all his gifts and has whipped himself into a frenzy trying to play with everything at once. The cake is finally gone (thanks, too, to all who helped me eat all the leftovers!!!) and the wrapping paper is in the trash but Sam is still in birthday heaven!!

Well, our Sam turned 5 last week on Valentine's Day. He has pronounced himself a "big kid" now so hopefully this will translate into doing more for himself and eating more "big kid" food. Grandma Rosie and Uncle Mike came for the party and helped frost cupcakes. Sam's party had, what else, a shark theme so we put sharks on the cupcakes and cake.

OK, I won't bore you with the whole ugly story about this skateboarder but Sam was DESPERATE to have it back after it was taken away as a punnishment. I finally caved in and told him he could have it back if he would lay down and be still for 10 minutes. After 3 minutes I peeked in and he was sound asleep with his skateboarder keeping an eye out for intruders (and enjoying a half caf, low foam, skim mocha latte while he surfs the internet. This is Fisher Price's idea of a male commuter, it came with our train set...)
Lilly has three "babies" that she loves to play with! She and I had just finished rocking in this chair and when she got down she went for her two nearest "babies" and rocked them. It was great! She was watching Sam fly his airplane to Hawaii, I think he is sick of the snow too!!
