Yippie!!!!!
So, the reason that I haven't been keeping up with the blog is that I am absolutely obsessed with knitting socks. It's a sickness, I'm tellin' ya. I actually have what they call a "stash" of sock yarn now. So, these are my first completed pair and I am so excited I can't stand it. I'm getting a pair of Birkenstocks just to show off my new socks!! Seriously, how great are these????
A little miracle
So this afternoon while I was making lunch, which is usually a hellish half hour filled with whining, crying and complaining (and the kids are really hungry and bratty too...), Lilly and Sam sat together and actually co-existed peacefully. I, very quietly, got my camera out and silently documented the event. Yes, yes, yes, the recliner is horrible but it was a gift and the kids love it so what can you do???

We got spammed!!
So, we got spammed from all over the globe! It geeked Ben and I out so we have eliminated comments from the blog. Sorry. For those of you who really know us and want to comment, give us a call or e-mail us! We would love to hear!

Party time!!!!
So as I mentioned earlier, Sam turned 5 and we had a party. Thanks to all who helped, drove for hours, sent gifts and well wishes and called. Sam had a GREAT birthday party!!! He loved all his gifts and has whipped himself into a frenzy trying to play with everything at once. The cake is finally gone (thanks, too, to all who helped me eat all the leftovers!!!) and the wrapping paper is in the trash but Sam is still in birthday heaven!!
Sam turns 5!
Well, our Sam turned 5 last week on Valentine's Day. He has pronounced himself a "big kid" now so hopefully this will translate into doing more for himself and eating more "big kid" food. Grandma Rosie and Uncle Mike came for the party and helped frost cupcakes. Sam's party had, what else, a shark theme so we put sharks on the cupcakes and cake.
